Police Investigate Robbery

HARTFORD - Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on West Morningside Street Monday night.

Police said the victim was walking west when a silver Acura pulled up and stopped beside him shortly after 9 p.m. Two men, one holding a shotgun, exited the vehicle and demanded everything the victim had.

The men took a silver chain, a cellphone and $11, fleeing west in the vehicle, police said.

Police describe the man with the firearm as a black male, 19 to 20 years old, 5 feet 10, 190 pounds with a mustache and a light complexion. He was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt.

The second robber is described as a black male of unknown age, about 5 feet 7, 160 pounds and wearing camouflage clothing with a baseball cap.

A third person was operating the vehicle, police said.
