The Special License and Firearms Unit (SLFU)
The Special License and Firearms Unit (SLFU) is responsible for the issuance of state pistol permits, and oversight and regulation of firearm sale transactions,. The unit is also responsible for investigating violations of state law relating to the purchase, sale and transfer of firearms.

States United to Prevent Gun Violence
States United to Prevent Gun Violence Research and Education Fund is an independent association of state-wide, single issue, multi-project gun violence prevention organizations. The purpose of States United is to support, enhance and maximize the ability of our member organizations to work effectively with each other and the citizens of their states to prevent gun deaths and injuries.

The Violence Policy Center
The Violence Policy Center is a national non-profit organization working to fight firearms violence through research, education, and advocacy. As a gun control "think tank," the VPC analyzes a wide range of current firearm issues and provides information to policymakers, journalists, public health professionals, grassroots activists, and members of the general public.
