NEW: Gun Safety Hearings Announced
Connecticut gun safety supporters will be given a valuable opportunity to make their voices heard over the course in two public hearings. The first, open to all Connecticut residents, will take place on Monday, January 28, at 10:00 A.M. in the CT Legislative Office Building Room 2C, 300 Capitol Ave, Hartford, CT; its focus will be gun safety and gun policy. The second, which gives speaking preference to Newtown and Sandy Hook residents, will take place on Wednesday, January 30, at 6:00 P.M. at Newtown High School, 12 Berkshire Rd, Newtown, CT. We encourage all Connecticut residents to attend both meetings if possible to express their support for a safer gun policy in the state of Connecticut.
Two more public hearings will be held at the Legislative Office Building. School safety will be the topic of a hearing at 9:30 A.M. on January 25; mental health will be discussed at a hearing at 10:00 A.M. on January 29.
